Tango Pastry was originally founded in Alexandria, Virginia in January 2011 as a traditional, Argentine-style bakery, which became known for its facturas and empanadas. Tango Pastry has always been a space for sharing the Argentinean culture and cuisine, both with Argentineans longing for the flavors of home, as well as those looking to try new flavors and foods.

In 2022, the previous owner sought to retire and chose Katriel Menéndez, our beloved Argentine chef, to continue the legacy of Tango Pastry.
