Empanadas are turnovers made with a variety of meat, fish or vegetarian fillings. They originate from northwest Spain (Galicia) and northern Portugal. We make them in two sizes: small ones are ideal as hors d´oeuvres, while the larger size makes a great snack or addition to your meal. Both are made with puff-pastry. The vegetarian options are made with mozarella cheese and béchamel sauce (white sauce).
